Hagios Health and Wellness Clinic

Care that starts with the question why

Most patients arrive having already been told what they have. Fewer have been told what is causing it. That is where we begin.

Root-cause medicine, in practice

Functional medicine is often described vaguely. In this clinic it means something specific: we treat the presenting condition while investigating the systems underneath it — metabolism, nutrition, inflammation, hormones, sleep and stress — and we use testing to check whether we are right.

That approach does not replace conventional medicine. Where medication is the correct treatment, it is prescribed and monitored. Where the better lever is diet, sleep or metabolic correction, we say so rather than adding another prescription to the list.

Your first six months

Consultation and history

A structured review of your health history, current medication, diet, activity, sleep and stress, plus the goals you want care measured against.

Testing

Advanced diagnostics chosen for your presentation — metabolic, inflammatory, nutritional and hormonal markers as indicated, not a standard panel for everyone.

Results and plan

We go through the findings with you and write the plan together: nutrition, clinical therapy where indicated, movement, sleep and stress work, with clear targets.

Active phase

Regular contact through the period of change, with the plan adjusted as your markers and symptoms respond.

Re-testing and review

Repeat the markers that mattered. Progress is judged on measurements and on how you feel, not on one of the two.

Maintenance

Periodic review to hold the result, with a plan for what to do if things drift.

The team around your plan

Care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team rather than a single practitioner working alone. Clinical assessment, nutrition, and lifestyle and behavioural support are coordinated around one plan and one set of goals, which is why patients are not asked to repeat their story at every visit.

Patient materials refer to the Hagios Health and Wellness Team. You will know who is looking after you; the plan does not change depending on who you happen to see.

What we ask of you

This model works when the work is shared. We ask patients to attend scheduled reviews, complete the testing that the plan depends on, and tell us honestly when something is not working — a plan you are not following is information, not a failure.

In return you get the reasoning behind every recommendation, the results of every test explained, and a clinic that will tell you when a treatment is not indicated for you.
